Removals Chelsea

Chelsea encapsulates the finest in London property, from swanky studio apartments to bijou villas and magnificent five-storey town houses. Chelsea was originally a village next to the Thames, and this is reflected in the multitude of period homes. There are many impressive Georgian properties, as well as 19th-century red-brick terraces and mansion blocks skirting around garden squares.

For palatial properties, The Little Boltons and Tregunter Road are ideal locations. Houses on these roads boast a minimum of five bedrooms, with sale prices starting at £4 million and escalating to £22 million. Studio apartments in Chelsea have prices around £350,000, with one-bedroom apartments bumping this up to a minimum of £450,000. Three-bed terraced family homes start at around £1.6 million and escalate to just shy of £10 million

For those wishing to rent, a one bedroom flat will set interested parties back a minimum of £1300 pcm. Upping this to two bedrooms equates to an additional £300 minimum. By Chelsea’s standards, a modern three-bed family terraced home will cost renters just shy of £5,000 pcm minimum, escalating to £13,000. Striking detached period homes are available between £34,000 pcm and £108,000 pcm.

Chelsea Transport Links

Although Chelsea is not inundated with tube stations, it is still very well-connected. Sloane Square, located on the eastern-most boundary of the district, is on the District and Circle line – just one stop from Victoria and with incredible access to the entire city. Other nearby stations include Knightsbridge (Piccadilly line), South Kensington (Piccadilly, District and Circle lines), and Fulham Broadway (District line), which is used by residents of West Chelsea. Consultations are underway for a Chelsea tube station, which would be located on the Kings Road. Imperial Wharf and West Brompton National Rail stations provide access to the Overground and some mainline train services.

There are fifteen bus routes serving Chelsea, most of which go further into central London and many of which run along Sloane Street or the Kings Road, providing a useful means of getting around Chelsea. The main routes servicing the Kings Road are 11, 19, 22, 49, and 319.

For those who are partial to travelling by foot, Hyde Park is just a 20-minute walk from Chelsea. It is half an hour to the famous Harrods, and a further 25 minutes to the shopping destinations of Oxford Circus and Bond Street.
