Bury is the ideal commuter hub, particularly for drivers. The M66 and M60 within easy reach and give way to the M62, M65 and M61. Drivers can get to Manchester in 40 minutes in kind traffic and both Liverpool and Leeds can be accessed in around 90 minutes.
Bury Interchange is the town’s transport hub, comprising of bus station and a north terminus of one of Manchester Metrolink’s tram lines. Services run between Bury and Manchester every 12 minutes on two routes, forming a 6-minute service between the two destinations at peak times.
Buses are run by four operators in Bury, carrying passengers to Manchester, Rochdale, Bolton, Middleton, and Rawtenstall as well as local Bury villages and areas.
