About Telford
Telford is the largest town in Shropshire and home to Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Revered as ‘The Birthplace of Industry’ due to its location in The Gorge, Telford is internationally recognised as one of the pioneer areas of the Industrial Revolution in the 18th century. Both Wellington and Oakengates have services to Birmingham, Wolverhampton, and Shrewsbury.
Telford has one of the lowest car ownership figures in the UK due to its strong transport links. The local and regional buses are regular and reliable in Telford and many rely upon them daily.
Furthermore, Telford is ideally located on the M54, which is a spur of the M6 linking the town to the West Midlands and Wolverhampton. Shrewsbury and Cannock can also be easily accessed via the A5.
