Schools in Ringwood

However, Poulner Junior School ‘requires improvement’. Similarly, Ringwood Infants is ‘outstanding’ whereas Ringwood Junior School ‘requires improvement’. St Ives First School is very popular and also an ‘outstanding’ primary school.
Ringwood School is the only local state secondary school and also benefits from having a sixth form. During its latest Ofsted inspection, it was found to be ‘good’ and the behaviour and safety of pupils is ‘outstanding’.
Alternatively, Ringwood Waldorf School is an independent school for boys and girls aged three to 18.
Transport Links Ringwood
Ringwood benefits from being in close proximity to the A31 and A338, meaning the M3 is just 10 miles away. Bournemouth is a 20-minute drive, Southampton just 35 minutes, and Portsmouth is 50 minutes’ drive.
The market town also has a large coach and bus station. There are frequent National Express coaches travelling to and from London, as well as Wilts and Dorset buses travelling to surrounding locations throughout Dorset, Wiltshire, and Hampshire. There are also a multitude of local buses serving Ringwood, Poulner, and Hightown.
The nearest railway stations to Ringwood are Christchurch and Hinton Admiral, both around a 20 minute drive away.
