Days Out in Stoke-on-Trent
There is lots to see and do in Stoke-on-Trent and it can be enjoyed by those of all ages. The Potters Museum and Art Gallery is free to visitors and houses the largest collection of Staffordshire ceramics and Anglo-Saxon treasure. Transport Links Stoke-on-Trent
Drivers wanting to go north or south can hop on the M6 at junction 15 which is just a short drive west from the city. A variety of A roads also provide important road links and Derby can be accessed in under an hour by car, as can Birmingham.
Stoke-on-Trent railway station is an interchange station on the West Coast Main Line. Many Cheshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire train services run through the town. There are five different providers with trains serving Stoke-on-Trent station and destinations covered include London Euston, Manchester Piccadilly, Derby, Crew, Birmingham, Reading, Oxford, Southampton, Bournemouth and Wolverhampton.
Longton, one of the towns making up the city, also has its own railway station. There are two trains per hour, one to Derby and one to Stoke-on-Trent and Crewe.
