Some customers choose to do their own packing (we can supply all the packing materials you need). While some can’t bear the thought of living out of boxes for weeks on end & leave it to our trained, experienced & friendly staff. I recently moved from Stafford to Los Angeles and used Goodwins to ship my household items—honestly, I cannot recommend them enough.
From the very start, Matthew was fantastic—professional, communicative, and genuinely helpful over a three-month period. He patiently prepared multiple quotes, guided me through US immigration requirements, and navigated my goods through a snowstorm and the devastating LA wildfires.
When it came time for collection, Chris and Alan handled everything with absolute care, wrapping and preparing my items so well that I’m pretty sure the Pharaoh wasn’t this well protected in his pyramid. Three weeks later, everything arrived in LA in perfect condition (see photos).

Paul Alan and John were excellent. Lovely guys who emptied our property and then took the contents to three different locations for us. No problems at all. Paul & Alan did an awesome job of transferring all my worldly possessions from their storage facilities at Stafford to my new flat. Everything had been kept safe and sound there for over a year and Paul & Alan made sure everything went wherever I wished (which would have been extremely helpful if I'd have known where I wanted anything!).

Kim, Darren and Anthony delivered our belongings from storage and did a great job. They drove up from Birmingham early to be in Glasgow by lunchtime, which was excellent as it meant we could unpack most of the boxes for them to take back and also check everything. They came back the following morning to finish everything off. Very professional, friendly people who were super helpful.
Do not look anywhere else for your removals. Britannia Goodwins came to our rescue at extremely short notice when our original removals company were unable to help as our completion date only gave us a week’s notice to move! We were visited on the same day we called and the quote was very competitive! On move day, our 2 knights in shining armour arrived on time, grafted all day, respected our property at both ends, kept us informed and were so helpful too in helping with items from my car. They dismantled and reassembled our triple wardrobe without us even noticing and our clothes magically appeared, organised and pristine at the new house. We cannot thank Paul and Alan enough, you were phenomenal- thank you! Well done the whole Britannia Goodwin team, good old fashioned top customer service wins the day, large pat on the back!
Super service. We had Paul and Alan for 3 days with John and Gareth helping out on a couple of days. They were all really helpful, lovely to deal with and they looked after our belongings. They did a great job moving my piano too.

We used the packing and move service. Took a lot of stress out of a stressful job! Professional service throughout and friendly experienced staff. Paul, Alan, Simon and Neil got the job done very quickly but carefully. One fragile item had some minor damage but the team offered to fix it and return it to us. Overall very happy, thanks team!
So our move was a tiny bit complicated from what we could see, we had 1 weeks notice of completion and moving 110 miles away. How on earth do we do this when one of us worked full time.
We had already got our quote from Brittania and it was quite simple to get ourselves booked in albeit we all agreed on a 2 stage delivery to our new home. Day 1 - packing. We had the fabulous Kim, John, Alan and Adrian with us. They would not let us lift a finger and to be honest they were great to be around and spend time with whilst packing up our lifetime of memories.
Day 2 - Final pack and moving Day with Reece, Ben and Chris. They efficiently cleared the remainder of the house and met us 110 miles later at our new place. They quickly and efficiently placed everything where we wanted it, placing protective covers on carpets used as walkways.
Day 3. We had been in our new home 4 days when John and Adrian returned with the final load of our belongings. We had spoken so much about our new home on packing day it was nice that they got to see it too.

From the consultation, via FaceTime, being convenient and unobtrusive, to the guys calling before their arrival on the planned day, everything was great.
We weren’t fully packed up when the guys arrived. They were really understanding, reassured us that everything was fine and that they would sort everything for us.
They even arranged for some hanging boxes to be delivered to the house to move clothes, saving us folding clothes into smaller boxes or suitcases.
The guys were really friendly, jovial and made the whole experience way less stressful.

Mega service from the lads moving us Adam, Ant, Ade, Chris, Paul and Alan we moved from the West Midlands to the Southwest so you could say they are the fastest movers in the west bit like earny the milkman
Adrian, Gareth and Paul were excellent and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Britannia. This was a big move for us, 200 miles, lots of stuff to move and the added complication of roadworks outside the house we were moving from. Absolutely fantastic. The lads took all stress out of moving house and I’d happily recommend them to anyone thinking of moving home. Paul, Alan and Anthony were absolute superstars, nothing was too much trouble, they even had to move their lorry to let a tractor past. Happy, helpful and all with a great sense of humour.
Not only were Britannia considerably cheaper than other reputable movers, the service was truly outstanding. Tyler, Chris K and Paul were 100% polite, cheerful and very efficient at getting us packed and away. Moving us in via the narrowest, steepest and most twisting road on the Isle of Skye was an incredible feat that I find hard to believe -even though I was there. We moved last week and it was a difficult move due to circumstances beyond our control, but Adam, Gaz & Ade did an unbelievable job getting us into our new house and I don't know what we would have done without them. They were not only thoroughly professional throughout, but we were also able to have a good laugh, which helped a lot. I can't recommend our crew highly enough, they were the best !

And on the actual move day Tyler, Gaz, Rob, John and Adam were all friendly, knowledgeable and completely helpful. Britannia Goodwins was remarkable when we requested a last minute quote for our house move. Matthew from the Stafford Branch was so professional and accurate, I would highly recommend working with him. We didn't use their services in the end only down to a timing issue caused by our situation, not them.. They will be my first call anytime I need moving again.
The team helped us pack and move over two days. Kim, Matthew, and Darren were delightful. They were efficient, friendly, and considerate. Kim went above and beyond to make sure that all of our essentials (keys, dog food, phones, etc.) were set aside. When unpacking, we noticed how carefully wrapped the items were. Everyone was very patient with our dog who was keen to get in their way!

Matthew professionally addressed all aspects of the shipment whilst being personable and responsive, his consummate approach to all allowed us to feel quite relaxed about the whole project.
On the moving day Matthew arrived with Darren, it was fascinating to watch how these two people packed the most difficult items.

We had a great experience throughout our whole removal process! My husband and I did not have anytime to pack before we moved down to London. John, Rob and Garath arrived on time and packed everything our whole flat very carefully. All our furniture and belongings were moved without any damage. John, Rob and Garath were very helpful! Especially when some of our furniture did not fit through our front door and we needed to figure out an alternative way to get it in the flat. I could not recommend this company more!

We had a great experience during our move from London to York. We used the full packing service and it really made the move feel easy and stress-free. We were so pleased to have chosen Britannia Goodwins to manage our move from Cheshire to Surrey. They were an excellent team from packing ( Lee and Adam) to unloading and putting a rather large amount of stuff where we wanted it to go into a much smaller property ( Lee, Darren, Gareth and Alan). Bit daunting moving house after 21 years. Ernie came round and assessed everything, gave very reasonable price for the move. We elected to pack our own boxes. We only exchanged contracts 7 days before completion so it really was a last minute confirmation, this posed no problem and the day was booked and paid for.The day before the move the lads attended and packed half the house into the van. On day of the move they arrived nice and early and finished everything by midday. The wardrobe rails and boxes were a godsend as you don't need to pack all your clothes off hangers. Completion was done and we set off to new house about 45 minutes away. Took the whole afternoon to unpack the van with a little help from myself. All boxes were placed in correct rooms. After unpacking only one small knock to a drinks cabinet and one broken glass. Nothing to complain about as we had a lot of boxes and items. in all a very professional service carried out quickly and efficiently. Thanks to Callum, Anthony and Gareth for their hard work and professional service. Will definitely recommend this company although won't be moving again ourselves, ha ha.
From the survey of our disjointed move, to the delivery of it, faultless, the survey delivered the right number vehicle’s and people to do the job in a day, the two companies in competition both quoted two days.

Britannia Goodwins moved my mum's belongings from the West Midlands down to Sandhurst, Berkshire recently. Adrian, Adam & Gareth from the Stafford branch were all courteous and communicated well at every stage. They were respectful of mum's feelings given she is in her 80s and moving house for the first time since the early 1980s. I used Britannia Goodwins for the removal of my items into their storage in August 2022 following the sale of my house and the redelivery of my storage containers and items upon my new purchase in April 2023. From start to finish I have received a professional and friendly service and I always felt confident that my personal belongings in storage were safe due to seeing how well they were packaged. Due to the narrow nature of the road I was moving to I was concerned that the normal truck would be too big and asked Britannia to assess the road prior to delivery. They did this and recommended that 2 smaller vehicles were required. This took away the stress and worry that there would be issues on the redelivery of my goods on the day. Tyler, Adam and Cane called me when they were close to the new house and were friendly, courteous, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. All goods delivered undamaged with as little stress as is possible during a house move. Thanks to all involved in the whole process. Can't speak highly enough of our experience with this firm. Naturally there's always a level of apprehension when inviting work/trades people into your home but Britannia delivered on every front. I don't recall the gents name but the guy who came out to give us our quote was friendly and professional. He gave us a comprehensive break down of how the process worked and of the companies policies which ultimately swayed us from opting for a cheaper alternative. The day of our move our removal guys Dan, Tyler and Gareth were brilliant. With it being a very stressful day it was clear from the start we were in good hands. They were very polite and patient despite our delays getting the keys and all our stuff was moved in and out quickly and without any damage or problems despite some tricky access issues. They also handed in some cash that they found during the load out which we had totally forgotten about which really spoke to their character. I would definitely recommend this firm to anybody who has a move in their future plans.

Thank you so much John, Rob, Alan & Lee who moved us on one of the coldest frostiest days of the year with ice and a layer of snow. They were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble! These guys truly are the back bone of the business and their customer service skills were 5*. I also spoke to the owner of the Leicester branch to book in the move and he was so helpful and patient when we were back and forth with dates. I would like to make a point that Britannia Goodwins are not the cheapest removal company out there but I would pay 10 times over to have John, Rob, Alan & Lee come to help us move again. The quality and availability they have is second to none, they even sent the team from another part of the country to complete our move as the Leicester branch were busy on that day; you simply dont get that service with any other removal company.

Dan, Lee, Ant and Adam arrived promptly on the day and had our whole house loaded in under 2 hours. Dan and Lee were just as efficient on the unload the next day, the whole team were friendly, polite and professional in their manner. Our first experience in using a company instead of doing it ourselves, and whilst an expensive endeavour to move across the country was absolutely worth the money and would highly recommend Goodwins for anyone in a similar position.

The guys who did our move were amazing (Paul, Alan, Rob and Tyler) it was 32C and baking hot and the lads didn't stop grafting all day and finished quite late as we had to wait for keys to our new place. I am a bit of a control nut really and I was uneasy about letting others do this for me and move us from Cheshire to the North East. But, due to work commitments i had little choice. We needed a new wardrobe going upstairs which had to be carried up through a Window as our stairs are small. Every other removal firm refused to quote but these guys were all over it.

The guys at Britannia Goodwins helped us out in our time of need, when everything else with or move was falling apart. We had to book last minute due to ongoing issues we had with our chain and they were able to fit us in and save us from having to try and hire some vans and do the move ourselves, which would have been a nightmare! Then on the day of the move there were more delays with the funds being released down the chain, meaning we weren't able to move our things into the new property until late in the evening. Jon, Ian, Ade and Paul could not have been more helpful and cooperative and had an amazing positive attitude despite the issues at our end. I would definitely use them again for any future moves and highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a removal company.
Goodwins moved us from Derbyshire to Scotland and we were so impressed with the team who did the work, Ian and John who were in charge and did the whole 4 days and Gareth and Tyler who did the initial packing. We had so much stuff! but they all worked hard and were pleasant, helpful and considerate throughout. I hadn't fully realised how much skill is required for this work, from packing carefully to loading the lorry correctly to unloading and placing things in the right place and reassembling the furniture. From the minute Catherine answered the phone to deal with my query, Darren conducted the FaceTime survey of the considerable amount of items that needed moving and gave us a quote for the job, Clive, Lee, Ant and Rob did our packing then, joined by Paul and Alan on day two to effect the move, unloaded everything, we did not have one anxious moment during what can be a stressful experience. Everyone, especially the six involved in the move, was unfailingly polite, could not have been more helpful and treated our goods with the utmost care and respect. Hopefully, the supply of tea, coffee and carbonated beverages on day two, were some sort of recompense for a job well done. In short, Top Job, boys and a BIG thank you is due. Looking ahead, if we move again, hopefully not anytime soon, we'd have no hesitation is using this company again.

I required both removals and storage because I was moving out and staying with a family member temporarily until I found a new place. Brittania sent someone to my house to estimate the amount of storage I would need and to explain the charges for the packing, removals and storage of my belongings. Everything was made very clear. Of the three companies from which I obtained quotes only Brittania and one other sent someone to visit me before the move.
The removals van arrived promptly on the day of the move and the men worked really hard to get things done as quickly and professionally as possible, including dismantling the beds and other items. They took great care to protect the carpets and furniture items with film and packed everything, including fragile items, very well and securely.

We moved friday Alan and Tony came Thursday to start the process what a very nice pair of gents, Dan and Paul joined them on Friday also 2 really nice guys. All were very well mannered very approachable, nothing too much trouble! They all worked very very hard they earned their money. i hope they are appreciated we certainly did. They made a really stressful experience a lot easier. We also found any contact we had over the phone to be very polite courteous and very helpful, even with multiple calls and question's. Everything was packed to go to storage and we couldn't have been happier. Their experience was evident as they negotiated removal of various large items without any damage to fixtures and fittings. We had very difficult access and parking at both ends which they successfully negotiated without any complaint. They also managed to load and offload an upright piano on what I can only describe as near impossible conditions with no damage and significant skill and professionalism.

Excellent service from Paul, Alan & Anthony. They never stopped moving often nearly running to get the next boxes. We had 17 years worth of baggage to move and lots that were still to be boxed. These guys never moaned once and went beyond in our opinion. We would not hesitate to use them again and would recommend them. Thank you the whole ordeal & stress of moving has been faultless throughout.
In July, Clive, Lee, Alan, Dan and Gareth moved us from Mow Cop into their storage facility in Stafford. The team worked tirelessly for two days. Nothing was too much trouble, everything ran smoothly and great care was taken with all our possessions. In October the team of Dan, Ant, Rob and Darren moved us from storage to Wilmslow. We received the same professional service from this team. Matt from the office was also very helpful and we will be using Goodwin’s again in the near future. Goodwins moved us from Stafford to Sutton Coldfield on Friday, and they were excellent. Paul, Alan, Anthony and Dan arrived at 8am and worked incredibly hard all day - they worked quickly and efficiently, they took very good care of our possessions and nothing was damaged. We were in by 4.30pm with 3 beds having been reassembled and a selection of heavy/complicated items items into the garage safely - and we were all still smiling! Highly recommended and better price than all local competitors. Head office staff (especially Matt) also excellent and very responsive.
