Shipping to Netherlands

Air freight
Air freight can also be used to ship your belongings to the Netherlands. It will usually be the more expensive option, but is also quicker, typically taking just a few days. Air freight to the Netherlands might be the best solution if you are working to a short timeframe and/or you don’t have a lot of items to ship.

Netherlands Customs and Imports
For your international move, Britannia Ryansmove will assign you an international relocation agent who will provide support and guidance regarding documentation needed to move your belongings to the Netherlands.
You will need to prepare an inventory list of everything you will be shipping to the Netherlands. If the staff at customs don’t feel as though your inventory sufficiently describes what you’re shipping, they will open your container to physically inspect it. This can cause delays and can also result in additional fees, so it’s important your list is as accurate as possible.
You don’t have to pay taxes when shipping your belongings from outside the EU if you have lived outside the EU for longer than 12 months and if you will be moving to the Netherlands permanently. The items you bring with you must have been owned by you and used for longer than six months.
You are not allowed to bring narcotics, weapons, or live plants to the Netherlands, nor can you bring flowers and bulbs from outside the EU. There are also restrictions on antiques and culturally significant items.
