All Saints CofE Primary School, Ben Rhydding Primary School, Burley and Woodhead CofE Primary School, and Menston Primary School are all ‘good’. Both Ashlands Primary School and Burley Oaks Primary School are ‘outstanding’.
There are eight secondary schools within a five-mile radius of Ilkley. Ilkley Grammar School is a co-education state school for children aged 11 to 18 and is ‘good’. The remaining seven schools are a mix of independent and state. The only ‘outstanding’ secondary school is St Mary’s Catholic High which is a 15-minute drive away in Menston.
Transport Links Ilkley
Ilkley is on the A65, which provides direct access to roads connecting to the M1, M621, and Leeds. The city of Leeds is just a 40-minute drive away and there are a number of public transport options for those who do not drive or would prefer to leave the car at home.
As well as many and regional bus services, Ilkley also boasts a railway station. Monday to Saturday, trains run to and from Leeds and Bradford twice per hour. In peak hours, services are hourly in each direction. On Sundays, services are less regular.
