Britannia Movers International Plc is proud to announce our confirmation as a Real Living Wage employer. This means we pay all our staff a wage that meets everyday needs, which is higher than the government minimum wage.
We registered our interest to join this scheme early in 2022, and we’re thrilled that the Britannia Movers Central Office has now been formally ratified alongside this worthwhile initiative. Britannia values its workforce greatly and feels strongly that everyone deserves a suitable wage in step with the costs of living, so achieving the Real Living Wage status was an immediate aspiration.
Our central office staff include office and warehouse staff, operational, sales, marketing, accounting and IT professionals. Our employees consistently demonstrate a commitment to providing outstanding service to every customer and we’re happy to recognise their hard work and dedication with a Real Living Wage.
With this certification, we join 10,000 other UK businesses who voluntarily pay a Real Living Wage to their employees. So far, almost 300,000 people across the nation have benefited from this scheme, with more employers joining the initiative every day.
The new Living Wage rates were announced on Monday 15th November 2021, with all employers required to implement within six months. To find out more you can access the information via the Real Living Wage website.
