Britannia Sandersteads wish to congratulate John Inkpen on completing his 25th year working for the company. As you can see in the photo John was rewarded with a certificate and a Rolex watch for his dedication and hard work.
John joined the British Army in 1977 and left after 12 years service. During his army service he carried out tours of Northern Ireland, Gibraltar, Belize, the Falkland’s, Greenham Common to name just a few. In 1981 John married Lyn Almandras and then found himself in the world of removals during visits home. In those days Britannia Sandersteads was operating as Sanderstead Removals and run by William Almandras (Lyn’s father). When John left the army he started working full time for Sandersteads, which by then was being run by Williams wife Brenda and John’s brother-in-laws Steve and Stuart Almandras.
John started out on the road as a porter and progressed to installing office furniture, export packing, luton van driving as well as working on domestic removals. John was offered the chance to go on an estimator’s course and since then has become one of Britannia Sandersteads estimators and moved into the office full time.
We would like to thank John for his many incredible years of service; he is a well respected member of the Britannia Sandersteads family helping the company to become the success that it is today.
